“The Parable of the Lost Sock”
This week we continue our exploration of Jesus when we read the parable of the lost coin. We are reminded that Jesus was dogged in his seeking of the lost and discarded. In a religious establishment committed to the politics of purity, Jesus was a religious reformer championing compassion. Once again, the writer of Luke suggests a Christ looking not for the flawless select but for us all.
