Luke 23:33-43

As we end the Christian year and our journey with Luke, we complete our exploration of spiritual disciplines as a way to stay in love with God. In this week’s scripture, we join Jesus in his dying. He hangs in the company of thieves, mocked and crucified. Soldiers gamble for his clothes. Wrestling with what is difficult, perplexing, and terrifying in scripture is every bit as valuable as holding phrases of wisdom and beauty in our minds.
