John 20:19-31
“Revealing the Wounds”
Christ lives. Doubt is natural. Thomas gets a bad reputation in the historic church for needing to touch the risen Christ’s wounds to believe in the resurrection. Jesus never gives him grief. Christ himself goes out of his way to reassure and prove to the people who loved him before the crucifixion that he lives on. If the disciples, including Thomas, needed repeated appearances and tangible experiences, can anyone be faulted for needing to experience God to believe?
