Sunday begins our new sermon series, “Seeds.”
We are moving towards Pentecost. This is the last week of the Easter season that the disciples will spend with the risen Christ, firmly planting the message of Jesus in the hearts of the frightened disciples. Next week is Ascension Sunday. We will read the story of Christ leaving the earth. The following Sunday is Pentecost. We will read how the Holy Spirit descended on the gathered disciples, imbuing them with the gift of language that enabled them to scatter from Jerusalem.
