Reflection
The method of Methodism
Methodism began as small groups of people deciding to take their spiritual lives seriously. Methodism wasn’t a church but a method. The core of Methodism remains a commitment to do no harm, do good, and stay in love with God.
Cultivate Your Own Spiritual Practices
Reflective spiritual practice can help us to stay in love with God. This practice may take many forms. For example, you may choose to follow the lectionary cycle of scriptural readings, practice lectio divina, participate in contemplative prayer, exercise mindfully, or share what is on your heart with God. These links provide a starting point for your journey. Remember, spiritual practice is a bit like pickling. You need to marinade is a practice for a while to get the flavor of it into your life.
