She begged him to cast the demon out of her daughter. He said to her, ‘Let the children be fed first, for it is not fair to take the children’s food and throw it to the dogs.’ But she answered him, ‘Sir, even the dogs under the table eat the children’s crumbs.’
We continue our sermon series, “Both And.” We are following the teachings of Jesus as relayed by chapters 7-9 of the Gospel of Mark. Again this week, we watch as Jesus looks past an either-or scenario to find the path that includes all. As we touched on last week, we find again that our faith prompts actions that can change everything.
