“Peace”

This Sunday, we read about John the Baptist fulfilling the words of Isaiah. John’s voice cries in the wilderness. It is strange that on the second Sunday of Advent, the Sunday of Peace, we return each year to the conviction and challenge of John. How is it that the difficulty of the wilderness brings peace?
