SUMMARY:Covenant Prayer - 2024
DESCRIPTION:Weekly\, Multiple Groups\nTimes Vary \nLearn More: Covenant Prayer Group \nWhen you are ready to step into a regular practice of reflection and study\, one path to explore is our Covenant Prayer Group. Covenant Prayer Group is Trinity’s Wesleyan Class Meeting. \nEach week we spend a few minutes reflecting on how we each are doing living out in the world the things we claim to believe in the pews. We then spend some time searching the scripture we will encounter in Sunday worship. These are small\, confidential groups.

SUMMARY:Labyrinth Walk 2024
DESCRIPTION:Labyrinth\nDrop in: 9am-12pm \nStop by and walk this year’s labyrinth in Friendship Hall. We will have the candle lit walk open from 9am to 12pm. The space also lends itself to reflection\, prayer\, and contemplation. Light refreshments will be served. Drop in! All are welcome. \n  \n \n  \nLabyrinths are one-way\, maze-like paths used for walking prayer and contemplation. This year\, you are invited to walk the path in remembrance of loved ones who have passed. The Labyrinth Walk is a quiet\, contemplative space. People of all faiths and no faith at all are invited to participate. You don’t need to believe anything to find quietude and connection on the labyrinth path. \nThe labyrinth walking path has been with humanity for thousands of years. Christianity adopted and tweaked the ancient labyrinth form to speak specifically to the journey toward the heart of Christ. The path traced by a labyrinth is a symbol of spiritual movement. It is a way to think about a disciplined spiritual life. The switchbacks and redirections are predictable. One minute\, you are walking directly toward the center\, and then you find yourself on the outer ring. You walk your way back to the center. Eventually\, the path leads into the heart of the labyrinth and the heart of the present moment. \n

SUMMARY:Exodus 2 - 11-3-24
DESCRIPTION:Study of Exodus\nReturn to the original liberation story\, Exodus.\nOctober 27th – November 17th Sundays 11 am\, Parlor \nWe are about to head into a year focused on the Gospel of Luke. The author of Luke understands the message of Jesus as the radically inclusive story of liberation. So\, let’s return to the original liberation story\, Exodus.    \n\nExodus explains the origins of Israel as a nation. That story includes enslavement\, wilderness times\, a covenant with God\, laws for living\, and a new life of freedom. Exodus establishes national identity and provides a framework for life under God’s care. It is a powerful story of hope and self-determination. Its patterns echo through Isaiah\, Luke\, and our Wesleyan understanding of grace.    \n\nDrop in for any or all of our four Sunday studies. Each study is about 45 minutes long. Discussion pages are provided each week.    \n\nWe will meet in the lounge at Trinity following coffee hour on Sunday mornings. (511 Oak Street\, Colusa) Anyone may attend regardless of religious background\, belief\, Christian experience\, or church affiliation. Enjoy a lively discussion and snacks.
