DESCRIPTION:Seraphim\nFrom Numbers and Amos through Isaiah and Acts\, we will be noticing how people anointed with fire are sent on incredible journeys of the spirit.\nSeptember 14th – October 12th\n(no meeting 10/5) \nJoin us after worship service for four Sundays this fall to consider the fiery snake of cruddy consequences\, the seraphim. In the Bible\, we sometimes find seraphim and serpents at life inflection points in the story of God’s people. Beginning with John 3:13-17\, our lectionary readings will launch us into a discussion that will move us beyond these verses. We will wind from Numbers and Amos through Isaiah and Acts noticing how people anointed with fire are sent on incredible journeys of the spirit. How have you been touched by fire? \nDrop in for one or all Sunday scripture studies. Each study is about 45 minutes long. Reflection pages are provided each week. \nWe will meet in the parlor at Trinity UMC following coffee hour on Sunday mornings. (511 Oak Street\, Colusa) Anyone may attend regardless religious background\, belief\, Christian experience\, or church affiliation. Enjoy a lively discussion and snacks. \nBible knowledge is NOT required.
