Exodus

Exodus

Return to the original liberation story, Exodus.

October 27st – November 17th, Four Sundays

We are about to head into a year focuses on the Gospel of Luke. The author of Luke understands the message of Jesus as radically inclusive story of lberation. So, let’s return to the original liberation story, Exodus.

Exodus explains the origins of Israel as a nation. That story includes enslavement, wilderness times, a covenant with God, laws for living, and a new life of freedom. Exodus establishes national identity and provides a framework for life under God’s care. It is a powerful story of hope and self-determination. Its patterns echo through Isaiah, Luke, and our Wesleyan understanding of grace.

Drop in for any or all of our four Sunday studies. Each study is about 45 minutes long. Discussion pages are provided each week.

We will meet in the lounge at Trinity following coffee hour on Sunday mornings. (511 Oak Street, Colusa) Anyone may attend regardless of religious background, belief, Christian experience, or church affiliation. Enjoy a lively discussion and snacks.
