The women find the empty tomb and are assured that Jesus lives. He is risen. Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the other women with them tell the disciples, but are disbelieved. It is only Peter who is motivated to see if there is something to the tale the women tell. Peter finds the tomb empty. He is risen, indeed!
