“Recognition”
This week, we complete our Epiphany sermon series with the story of the Transfiguration. We find Jesus on the mountaintop, dazzlingly illuminated, and in company with Elijah and Moses. Peter wants to make a home for the three exceptional prophets and leaders in that moment of recognition. Instead, God declares Jesus a beloved child and the moment ends.
