John 3:14-21
“Walking With Us”

“And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up… God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.”

God came into the world as a human being; one lifted up like Moses lifted the snake so that we could see clearly in the light the troubles so often shrouded in darkness and, in seeing clearly, could find healing and resolution. Jesus walks with humanity. In life and death, in joy and suffering, Jesus walks with humanity helping clear our eyes so we may understand what we are facing, and find our way to healing– as individuals and as a world.

Join us this Lenten Sunday to consider how elevating tragedies into the light can be an act of rethinking and repentance. Seeing clearly and naming what has harmed us can free us to experience the astonishing abundance of the resurrected Christ on the other side of Easter morning.
