John 9:1-41
“Mud”
We continue with our pre-Easter Lenten adventure. Lent asks us to rethink and reconsider what we think we know. This week’s scripture is John 9. In this week’s scripture, we meet a man who knows he is blind, people who don’t realize how blind they are, Jesus who can use even dirt to heal, and a confusion of leaders who can’t accept God’s work can come in unexpected formats and times. Again we learn that seeing clearly can come from the unlikeliest salve! We are asked to hold space in which we might discover we don’t have the complete story– a practice of humble repentance.
