Luke 16:19-31

“Why”

A moment of divine affirmation can lead us to a consuming inner transformation. We’ll explore how a holy encounter demands a response, and how, in Luke 16:19-31,  ignoring the call to see others as siblings invites fiery consequences.

In today’s scripture, even after he dies, the rich man fails to understand God’s wish that we care for one another, balancing justice and mercy. The rich man remains in hell, still only able to see Lazarus as a servant, not a beloved sibling made in God’s image.
