These next six weeks, we return to Luke, following Jesus through chapters 14 through 17. In this series, “Jesus and Christ,” we encounter teachings and scenes that suggest a God of perplexing reversal and delightful surprises. Who is this Jesus? How are we to understand these strange situations on the road to crucifixion?
Luke’s Christ is for everyone. Not everyone is ready for this sort of Savior. This week Jesus describes the cost of discipleship, and we will explore what that implies about Christ.
