Exploring Matthew Chapter Five.

January 18th – January 25th, Two Sundays

This year focuses on the Gospel of Matthew. In our lectionary readings, we are spending two weeks with Matthew chapter five, the Sermon on the Mount. This drop in study is in advance of our worship, giving us the chance to consider this gorgeous text more fully.

The author of Matthew understands Jesus as the Jewish Messiah. We will be considering the words of Matthew 5 in conversation with the Hebrew Bible.

Drop in for one or both of our Matthew 5: Sermon on the Mount studies. Each study is about 45 minutes long. Discussion pages are provided.

We will meet in the parlor at Trinity following coffee hour on Sunday mornings. (511 Oak Street, Colusa) Anyone may attend regardless of religious background, belief, Christian experience, or church affiliation. Enjoy a lively discussion and snacks.
