Seraphim

Bible Study

Seraphim

September 14th – October 12th
(no meeting 10/5)

Join us after worship service for four Sundays this fall to consider the Paradox of Transformation. In the Bible, we find seraphim, serpents, and fire at life inflection points in the story of God’s people. In this study, we will wind from John and Numbers through Isaiah and Acts, considering how seraphim and serpents are associated with the fire of God. That fire illuminates, destroys, affirms, and gifts us. People anointed with fire are sent on incredible journeys of the spirit.

How has your life been changed by fire?

Drop in for one or all Sunday scripture studies. Each study is about 45 minutes long. Reflection pages are provided each week.

We will meet in the parlor at Trinity UMC following coffee hour on Sunday mornings. (511 Oak Street, Colusa) Anyone may attend regardless religious background, belief, Christian experience, or church affiliation. Enjoy a lively discussion and snacks.

Bible knowledge is NOT required.
