Trinitarian Study
Enter Pentecost engaging
Creator, Incarnation, and Spirit.
May 21st – June 4th
This short, three-week study will focus on the meaning and mystery of the Trinity. We will wrap our minds around a divinity that can be understood as three interdependent parts-
– Father, Son, and Holy Ghost
– Creator, Incarnation, Spirit
– Dancer, Dance, Music
There are many words we can use to understand the wholeness of God through the Trinity.
We leave the season of Eastertide on Pentecost, May 28th. Easter is a season of celebration but also confusion. The disciples do not yet know what to make of the Ressurection. It is not until Pentecost, the day the Holy Spirit descends upon the group, that they find that they have the tools they need to reengage the world with the message of Jesus. Our scripture readings give us the opportunity to explore the three parts of the Trinity in turn.
Drop in for any or all of our three Sunday scripture studies that consider the Trinity. Each study is about 45 minutes long. Reflection pages are provided each week.
We will meet in the lounge at Trinity UMC following coffee hour on Sunday mornings. (511 Oak Street, Colusa) Anyone may attend regardless religious background, belief, Christian experience, or church affiliation. Enjoy a lively discussion and snacks.
