“Compassion”

We lean on each other when the inevitable tragedy strikes. One of the difficulties of living in this world is the callousness of some people. People who refuse to help others can seem like a different species. That is a dangerous way of thinking. This week’s parable is mostly about treating others as we would treat God. The angry detail of separating goats from sheep can put us right back in a mindset of “us versus them”. On this last Sunday before Advent, we ask how should we navigate living with people while we are waiting.
